INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

Apprentice of the Year

Coal Apprentice of the Year
Metalliferous Apprentice of the Year
Heavy Industry Trainee of the Year 
   (incorporating extractive, minerals processing and drilling apprentices)

This category is open to all apprentices who are employed in the Australian resources industry and are enrolled as an apprentice or have completed their apprenticeship in the previous 12 months.

Trainee of the Year

These Awards acknowledge outstanding achievement and ongoing commitment by trainees in the Australian resources industry.

To be eligible for nomination in this category, the nominee must have completed, or be due to complete, a structured, accredited training program between August 2009 and August 2010. The program must use the relevant national coal, metalliferous, or heavy industry training package(s).

Professional of the Year

Coal Professional of the Year
Metalliferous Professional of the Year
Heavy Industry Professional of the Year 
   (incorporating extractive, minerals processing and drilling professionals)

This category is open to all professionals in a supervisory or statutory role within the Australian resources industry.

To be eligible for nomination in this category, the nominee must have completed, or be due to complete, a structured, accredited training program between August 2009 and August 2010. The program must use the relevant national coal, metalliferous, or heavy industry training package(s).

COMPANY AWARDS

These Awards acknowledge the outstanding achievement and an ongoing commitment of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and resources companies to the development and delivery of training within the Australian industry.

To be eligible for nomination in this category, the nominee must be a company who has made an active contribution to training using the national coal, metalliferous, extractive, minerals processing and/or drilling training packages.

INNOVATION AWARD

This important award recognises innovation by companies, service providers and individuals who have pushed boundaries using innovative processes and practices in workforce development and workforce planning across the Australian resources industry.
